The 2024 event will take place on Saturday 31ST AUGUST 2024.

Venue

The event will start and finish at Colne Valley High School, Gillroyd Lane, Linthwaite, Huddersfield HD7 5SP

Car Parking

There should be plenty of parking at the event centre but we would also wish to appeal for volunteers, families and competitors to car share where possible.

The event address and main car park is can be found at HD7 5SP (Gillroyd Lane entrance) in the event that this car park is full you will be directed to further car parking which can be found at the entrance on Church Lane HD7 5TA.

Registration

• At Colne Valley High School. 1M Children & Parents Fun Run. Registration is open from 10:00 to 13.30 (prompt closing) on the Saturday morning 31st August 2024

Race Start Times

• RACE START for the Children’s 1KM is at 2.00pm and the 4KM at around 2.30pm from Colne Valley High School. .

Prices & Awards

Price: For both 1KM and 4KM fun runs are just £5. Price entry includes a bespoke and engraved Heights Medal. Either Pre register or entries on the day. These events ares FREE if your child attends either of the 3 Heights Federation Schools, however, it would be great if children can be sponsored to take part in the event and there will be prizes awarded to the school that raises the most.

THE FEDERATION TROPHY

The annual Federation trophy will be awarded to one of our 3 Schools. The first 10 children in the 1KM event from each school will count towards the award of the trophy. The trophy will be presented to the winning school as part of their celebration assembly and will get to keep the Federation Trophy in school for the full year.

Food

There will be plenty of food and drinks available at The event Centre throughout the day for everyone including any supporters waiting to see friends and family members.
